New Year...New You!!!

It is that time of year!!! The time where we all set out to make resolutions. The most common resolutions typically involve getting our health in order by deciding to eat better and exercise more. There is never a bad time to take control of your health. If this is a resolution that is high on your priority list, you should start by evaluating what you are wearing on your feet. Most athletic shoes should be replaced about every 300-500 miles. On average, this equates to about every 6 months. One thing to look at on your shoes is the condition of the tread on the soles. Would you drive around on balding tires on your car? The same should be considered when looking at the tread on the bottoms of your shoes. Wearing shoes with “balding “or worn treads can put you at risk of injury. Depending on your foot type there are wear patterns that can put you at risk of ankle sprains, tendonitis, and a myriad of other foot and ankle issues.

Give us a call if you are wondering what shoes would work best to help you achieve your new year’s resolution. We can also guide you through three key components to look for when shopping around for supportive shoes.
